GONE FISHING IN AN EMPTY SEA...

Dear friends,

We are sad to announce that due to several personal circumstances beyond our control, we have cancelled all upcoming tour dates in Eastern Europe. As we have never cancelled a tour in our 6-year existence as a band, this is a new experience for us—and not one we ever wish to repeat. We apologize to all the people that were planning on coming and had purchased tickets. We were truly excited for this tour, and believe us that it was not an easy decision to make. We also apologize to all the promoters that worked hard to make this tour happen. We wish things were different, but sometimes wishes are not reality.

Unfortunately, we are not sure when/if we will be able to make up these dates. This is because the other piece of news is that Arms and Sleepers will be going on an indefinite hiatus. While we (Max and Mirza) remain close friends and will continue making music together, we are not likely to play any shows for quite some time, or to put out releases. It is time for us to turn focus to other personal and professional aspirations, and perhaps even get back to making music only for ourselves, as we used to do in the past.

We don't want to go into a long and emotional speech here, plus we'll be posting a few more things in the coming months anyway. Very simply, we want to thank everyone that has supported us in any capacity over the years. We've made a lot of wonderful friends and unforgettable memories through music, and have been extremely lucky to be able to travel the world. This to us is priceless, and we thank all of you that were a part of that experience. We are sure that we'll see some of you again, and we are sure that you'll hear more music from us at some point. Right now, we just don't know when that will be, and we are guessing it won't be for a while.

Much love,

Max & Mirza

Hey, guys!
This is really a surprise to me. I really hope for you to even think about leaving this project to past - that would be a crime! Your music is magnificent! :) I was at your gig in Riga, Latvia. And I can honestly say - it was the best concert I have been to in my whole life!
Your music simply adds the perfect mood to daily actions, whether it is going somewhere, working on something or just listening to it when chilling at home...

As I am a musician myself, I understand the need for creative and personal breaks - it is sometimes quite hard to produce and produce new sounds sequentially. I really wish for you to enjoy this time, adjust some stuff around and make even better songs and albums. You just have your special 'handwriting' in your music. :)

Wishing you the best,
Sintija

What a silly mistake, I meant: "I really hope you are not thinking about leaving this project to past - that would be a crime!".

whatever the circumstances, know that this gift is a shared one. I hope to hear your music in the future. I am as sad as when i heard the news of Telefon Tel Aviv.
