Hi there!
It's been a while since we have posted a full update. For the past 3 months we've been touring extensively, so we're glad to be home and thinking about writing new music and being involved with exciting new projects. Here are some news regarding future releases, re-releases, touring, and all that.
CURRENT
We still have copies of The Motorist EP available directly from us. For those of you that don't know, we self-released a mini 5-song EP in February just before our 6-week US tour, entirely hand-packaged and also hand-numbered. This is a limited edition of 300, and contains all new music that's a small taste of our upcoming releases. SO, if you don't have one yet and want one, visit our myspace page and purchase it for $6 + shipping. You'll be happy you did!
ALSO, we have just put up t-shirts, postcard sets, and posters up for sale on our myspace page. You'll find new and old t-shirt designs (all on American Apparel), various posters from previous shows and tours (more coming soon!), and 3-piece postcard sets. Cool, right?
FURTHERMORE, Cinematique is now available on iTunes! You can also find it through CD Baby here. AND FOR THE VINYL LOVERS: we will be re-releasing Cinematique on vinyl in a special limited edition of 300 copies! First 100 will be on red vinyl, the rest on standard black. Packaging will still be hand-made and hand-numbered, like the CD versions in the past. We are expecting to have these available in June, so check back for news on that!
FUTURE
Bliss Was It In That Dawn To Be Alive, our debut EP, is now mostly sold out, but we will be re-releasing a vinyl version of that as well in the fall. Expect bonus material and expended artwork--we'll keep you updated.
A new EP containing mostly piano/modern-classical compositions will be released over the summer. This will be similar material to Cinematique, though this time we will be working with a string quartet and more piano-based work. We'll keep you updated on this as well!
The follow-up to Black Paris 86 is currently under construction and we'll be hard at work over the summer to bring you brand new material in the fall. We're very excited about these new songs and can't wait to share them with you, but we are still a long way off!
SHOWS AND TOURING
We have some shows coming up in May and June, but we'll mostly be show-less over the summer while we work on new material. Here's what we know for sure:
May 15 - Buffalo, NY @ Sugar City
May 16 - NYC, NY @ Pianos (w/ The American Dollar)
May 22 - Cambridge, MA @ Middle East Upstairs (w/ Her Space Holiday)
May 30 - Somerville, MA @ The New Armory (w/ the Books, Caspian, and more--special audio/visual event where each group performs 10 minutes of music to a short film)
June 25 - Cambridge, MA @ TT The Bear's (w/ Tiny Wipers, Balmorhea, Henry Gale)
We expect to be fully back on the road in the fall to support our new releases. Europe, North America, and Japan are all in the works, and we'll keep you posted on that!
OTHER
We have updated our YouTube page. There are some new live videos available, so check it out when you get a chance HERE.
